درباره کتاب (2nd) Collins Writing For Ielts

کتاب Collins Writing for IELTS، از دسته کتاب های Writing، به بهبود و تقویت مهارت های نوشتاری (Writing) پرداخته و به داوطلبان آزمون آیلتس کمک می کند بتوانند نمره هفت یا بیشتر از هفت را در بخش نوشتاری آزمون آیلتس به دست آورند. نگارش این کتاب به‌گونه ای است که از آن هم به صورت مطالعه فردی (Self-Study) و هم جهت تدریس در آموزشگاه ها و آموزش گروهی می توان استفاده کرد.

این کتاب حاوی دوازده درس می باشد. درس‌های اول تا یازدهم جنبه آموزشی داشته ومطالب و مسائلی را پوشش داده که به احتمال زیاد، افراد در جلسه آزمون با آن مواجه خواهند شد. این درس ها، موضوعاتی همچون نسبت های خانوادگی و مسائل مربوط به خانواده، سلامتی و تاثیر ورزش و رژیم غذایی مناسب بر سلامتی، تاثیر تحصیلات بر آینده شغلی، آب و هوا، محیط زیست و طبیعت، صحبت کردن، مکالمه و تاثیر زبان بر برقراری ارتباط، علم، دانش و تکنولوژی، مراحل مختلف زندگی، مکان‌های مختلف و آدرس دادن، تعطیلات و اوقات فراغت و درنهایت مسائل فرهنگی و تاثیر فرهنگ بر جوامع سنتی و مدرن را شامل می‌شوند.

همه درس ها و بخش های کتاب مملو از پرسش‌ها و فعالیت های فراوانی است که منبع اصلی همه آن ها آزمون های آیلتس پیشین می باشد و پاسخ دادن به آن ها به معنای پاسخ دادن به سوالات آزمون آیلتس می باشد. همچنین نکاتی که افراد در مواجه با هر سوال بهتر است رعایت کنند تا به نتیجه مطلوب برسند، در قالب جدول هایی در کنار همان سوالات‌ ارائه شده اند. در درس دوازدهم کتاب، چندین آزمون شبیه سازی شده آورده شده که به افراد کمک می کند خودشان را راحت تر در موقعیت آزمون قرار دهند پاسخنامه همه پرسش ها و آزمون‌‌ها نیز در پایان کتاب آورده شده که به افراد کمک می‌کند نقاط ضعف و نقاط قوتشان را راحت تر شناسایی کرده و نقاط ضعفشان سریع تر برطرف کنند. یکی از ویژگی های منحصر به فرد این کتاب رنگی بودن و تنوع استفاده از رنگ‌ها و استفاده از تصاویر و اشکال مختلف در آن است که هم موجب ماندگاری بیشتر مطالب می‌گردد و هم از خسته شدن زبان‌آموزان در هنگام مطالعه کتاب جلوگیری می‌کند.

Question below. Underline the differences and then answer questions 1-2. Many species of plants and animals have come and gone throughout the history of the Earth. From this perspective, extinction can be seen as part of a natural process. Some people have argued that we should not, therefore, make heroic efforts to preserve the natural habitats of endangered plants and animals when doing so would conflict with human interests. To what extent do you agree with this view?

Response 1: If you look at it that way, it's true that humans and animals have conflicting interests. People have always exploited animals for food and clothing and farmers have brought bigger and bigger areas of land under cultivation. But should we keep on doing this? In regions of the world where the population is growing, and there aren't enough resources the conflict between humans and animals is really bad. If you go to Africa, for example, you can see large nature reserves alongside really poor human settlements. I love the idea of elephants and lions living in the wild. But often it's the poor farmer living nearby who's got to pay the cost in terms of land and lost Earnings.

Exam tip: If writing in an academic style is new to you, make sure that you do not write in an overly complicated way. Above all, your writing should be clear and easy to read. Avoid writing more than one subordinate clause in each complex sentence. Do not write in a way that is so impersonal that your message is obscured. Do not use a lot of words to express an idea when a few words would be sufficient.
